The Alachua County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of 21-year-old Aaviel Javion Hester-Guadalupe as a homicide. Hester-Guadalupe was found unresponsive in a unit at Reflections Apartments, located at 205 SW 75th St in Gainesville, Florida, on April 13, 2025. Deputies responded to a medical emergency call at the apartment complex around 10:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the deceased inside one of the apartments.
Authorities later confirmed that Hester-Guadalupe had suffered a gunshot wound and was found deceased on his couch. The Alachua County Sheriff's Office has urged anyone with information regarding the case to contact Detective Travis Beville or Crime Stoppers.
At this time, no details have been released regarding any arrests or suspects in connection with the homicide. The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues to gather evidence and seek leads.
