In the evening hours of an April day in Atlanta, Georgia, the sound of multiple gunshots pierced the air in the Grant Park neighborhood. Responding to the reports, police were dispatched to the 700 block of Eloise Street, an area not far from the Beltline Southside Trail and Zoo Atlanta. There, they discovered a grim scene inside a vehicle. A young man, later identified as 28-year-old George Johnson, was found in the back seat, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
