On January 19, 2025, 31-year-old African American male Davon Wood of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was fatally shot during a gathering in Boynton Beach. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. near the 500 block of Northeast Second Street, where an altercation between two individuals escalated into gunfire.
