In the heart of Kansas City, Missouri, a Saturday afternoon was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 16-year-old Maximiliano Ruiz. On April 26, 2025, just before 1 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting near 12th and Belmont.
