In the late hours of a Tuesday night in Kansas City, Missouri, the life of 19-year-old Dewayne Toombs, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On March 25, 2025, just after 10 p.m., police were called to an apartment building in the 4000 block of North Bennington Avenue following reports of a shooting.
