Shawn D. Baskins, a 42-year-old White male from Norristown, was killed before dawn on May 14, 2025, in a burst of gunfire that tore through a pickup truck in Philadelphia’s Kensington area. The shooting happened at about 3:55 to 4:00 a.m. near Hope and West Cambria streets, where police found the truck with Baskins inside the driver’s seat.
