On March 24, 2025, authorities in Henderson County, Texas, responded to a distress call regarding the shooting of 30-year-old Samantha Moore in the Bonita Point subdivision near Gun Barrel City. Samantha Moore, a Hispanic woman, was found with gunshot wounds on the front porch of her brother’s residence. Emergency responders transported her to UT Health Emergency Room in Gun Barrel City, but despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
