Robert Mitchell, a 41-year-old man from Birmingham, was shot on the night of August 29, 2025, in the city’s Central Pratt neighborhood, a violent moment that appears to have unfolded in and around a home on 6th Lane. Police were dispatched just after 10 p.m. to the 900 block, where they found him lying in a grassy area next to a residence with gunshot wounds.
