In the late afternoon of Saturday, August 23, 2025, the life of 16-year-old George Camarius Daniel was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire at a Birmingham, Alabama, apartment complex. A Black male and a junior at Huffman High School, Daniel was at the Springville Landing Apartments on Huffman Road when the shooting occurred.
