A promising young life was cut short in the Gate City community of Birmingham, Alabama, leaving a family and a high school in mourning. Reginald Terez Courtland Pope, Jr., a 17-year-old male, was fatally shot on July 25, 2025. A student and football player at Woodlawn High School, his death was a significant loss to those who knew him.
