In the early morning hours of December 28, 2019, the life of 19-year-old TeMarcus Ormarn McMullen, a Black male from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short. Officers from the West Precinct were dispatched to 2626 Court R Ensley around 4 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered McMullen unresponsive, having sustained a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to UAB Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
