In what was determined to be a murder-suicide, 34-year-old Britney Nashaye Summerhill was found deceased on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in a room at the InTown Suites on Oxmoor Road in Birmingham, Alabama. Her death has been classified as the city's 29th homicide of the year. Authorities with the Jefferson County Coroner's Office officially identified Summerhill and the man found with her, 30-year-old Jaron Trevell Bishop.
