Quantavis Bellamy, 19, a Black male, was shot late on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, inside the San Marco Villas apartment community in Lake Park, Palm Beach County. Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office traced the gunfire to the 700 block of Venice Circle after learning a wounded man had been dropped off at a local hospital. He was later identified as Bellamy.
According to investigators, the shooting occurred around 10:20 p.m.
Bellamy was taken to a hospital by others and, despite emergency treatment, was pronounced dead at approximately 1:45 a.m. the following morning. Authorities said the case was being investigated as a homicide.
Detectives did not immediately release details about what led up to the gunfire, and they have not announced any arrests. The Sheriff’s Office asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS as they worked to identify who was responsible.
