Just before dawn on June 28, 2025, Anthony Bailey, 34, a man from Atlanta, was found shot multiple times in the breezeway of The Commons apartments on the 3000 block of Middleton Road NW. Officers arrived around 4:37–4:40 a.m., and medics rushed him to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
