In the pre-dawn hours of June 28, 2025, the life of 34-year-old Anthony Bailey was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. A Black male, Bailey was discovered by Atlanta police officers in the breezeway of the Commons Apartments on Middleton Road NW. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The initial call reporting the shooting came in around 4:40 a.m., a time when the city was still cloaked in the quiet of the early morning.
Responding officers found Bailey in critical condition.
