In a tragic turn of events on June 5, 2025, 22-year-old Marcus Cunningham Jr. was found shot to death inside an apartment at the Autumn Trace Apartments on Rocky Creek Road in Macon, Georgia. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office responded to a call and discovered Cunningham unresponsive with a gunshot wound. His father, Marcus Cunningham Sr., remembered his son as a vibrant, funny, and respectful young man who was deeply connected to his family.
