In the late evening hours of September 23, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Shreveport neighborhood, tragically cutting short the life of 17-year-old Victor Samuels. A promising basketball player at Woodlawn High School, Victor, a male, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 8300 block of Harding Avenue at approximately 9:40 p.m. He was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health for medical attention, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced dead shortly after 11 p.m.
