In the heart of New Orleans, a life was tragically cut short in the Central City neighborhood. Joseph Kuykendall, a 46-year-old male, found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time on a summer evening. Near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Liberty Street, the sounds of everyday life were shattered by the report of a gunshot. First responders arrived at the scene to find Mr. Kuykendall suffering from a grievous gunshot wound to the face.
