In the early morning hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, police responded to reports of a shooting on Kansas City's East Side. Just before 2 a.m., officers were directed to a grassy area in the 1600 block of Drury Avenue, in the West Blue Valley neighborhood, where they found a man unresponsive. The man, who was suffering from unspecified trauma, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
The victim was later identified as 39-year-old Brandon Stone, a White/Caucasia
