On the evening of October 9, 2025, a burst of gunfire in Atlanta's West End neighborhood brought a sudden and violent end to the life of 20-year-old Saikou Dem. A Black male, Dem was found by police officers on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard with a critical gunshot wound.
