On the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026, the life of 23-year-old Ayia Alexis Harris was tragically cut short in Birmingham, Alabama. Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 7000 block of Division Avenue in the East Lake area. Upon their arrival at approximately 9:45 p.m., they discovered Harris unresponsive in the roadway, having sustained a gunshot wound.
