On the evening of February 14, 2026, Fernando Gallardo, a 44-year-old man, was fatally shot inside his northwest Houston smoke shop, Daze Elevated. An employee, driving by the shop on North Houston Rosslyn Road after business hours, noticed the "open" sign was still illuminated and Gallardo's vehicle was missing, prompting them to check inside where they discovered his body.
