On the evening of April 1, 2026, a young man's life was tragically cut short in Adelanto, California. Angelo Chaparro, an 18-year-old male, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds in the 11700 block of Chamberlaine Way. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of shots fired in the area at approximately 9:05 p.m. Upon their arrival, deputies found the wounded teenager.
Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene, and Angelo Chaparro was rushed

In the 10400 block of Cimmeron Trail Drive, another man, identified as 33-year-old Elias Alonso, was also found suffering from gunshot wounds in a driveway. He too was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Homicide detectives with the Sheriff's Specialized Investigations Division have stated that they believe the two deadly shootings are related and are treating them as a single investigation.
