In the spring of 2026, the life of 22-year-old Shawn Hicks Jr. was cut short by violence on the streets of East Baltimore. A Black male, Hicks was discovered with a gunshot wound on the evening of Sunday, March 29th, in the 1400 block of North Bond Street. The call came in to the Baltimore Police Department at approximately 9:50 p.m., and officers arrived to a grim scene.
