On the evening of March 28, 2026, a shooting incident in southeast Atlanta resulted in the death of 37-year-old Kenneth Cofield Jr. The event took place at a gas station located in the 1400 block of Moreland Avenue SE, where police responded to a call shortly after 8 p.m.
