In the early morning hours of Valentine's Day 2015, the quiet of a southwest Atlanta neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Inside their Mims Street home, two brothers, 32-year-old Ras Aole JaJa Peek and 37-year-old Marcus Peek, were fatally shot. A neighbor later recalled hearing six or seven gunshots around 6 a.m., but the tragic discovery was not made until hours later when police responded to a call at approximately 8:30 a.m. and found the two men unresponsive.
