Julianna Cardenas, a 22-year-old woman, died after a shooting in north Harris County, Texas, on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Authorities said the violence came at the end of a confrontation that had started away from the apartment complex where deputies eventually found her. Early that morning, around 5:15 a.m., constable deputies were called to the August North apartments on Kuykendahl Road, near the North Freeway and West Rankin Road, where two women were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.
