Zaire Usher-Evans, a 21-year-old Black male from Franklin, Virginia, was killed in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 19, 2026, after police were called to Bruce Street for a report of a gunshot victim. Officers with the City of Franklin Police Department arrived around 2:02 a.m. and found Usher-Evans suffering from gunshot wounds.
