On the evening of March 29, 2026, 30-year-old Danilo Rodas was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Starbucks in northwest Fresno, California. The incident occurred around 5:47 p.m. at the intersection of Shaw and Dale avenues, a busy area near Highway 99.
According to Fresno police, Rodas was involved in a disturbance with at least one other person just before the shooting. The encounter was reportedly brief.
Rodas sustained a single gunshot wound to his upper body and, despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that Rodas was acquainted with the individual or individuals who shot him.
