On a Monday morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 40-year-old Demetrius Lamont Rolley was tragically cut short. On September 14, 2026, just after 11 a.m., a verbal altercation escalated to the point of gunfire in an apartment located in the 2000 block of 30th Avenue North. Responding officers found Rolley in the doorway of the residence, suffering from a gunshot wound.
