Reyes Ramos, a 34-year-old man from Guatemala, was returning home from work in the pre-dawn hours of September 7, 2026, when his life was tragically cut short. He and his brother-in-law had just arrived at their apartment complex on South Gessner in southwest Houston at approximately 4:30 a.m. after finishing their shift at a local nightclub. It was in the supposed safety of the gated complex that they were ambushed by two masked men, an attack that would end in homicide.
