In the early morning hours of Saturday, August 29, 2026, the life of 53-year-old Dowane Lewis was tragically cut short in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Police were called to the 900 block of North Third Street around 2 a.m. following reports of gunfire and a person being struck. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Lewis deceased inside a residence. The Dauphin County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Lewis died from a gunshot wound to the chest and officially ruled his death a homicide.
