In the late afternoon of Saturday, August 29, 2026, the quiet of a Northeast Austin neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 5:34 p.m., police received a distressing call from the 11700 block of Timber Heights Drive, reporting a man with a gun and a person shot.
