On a Sunday afternoon in April 2016, a young Black male named Kyle Arroyo, 23, was found unresponsive and bleeding from his left shoulder in the rear driveway of a residence on the 6000 block of North American Street in the Olney section of Philadelphia. Medics from the Fire Department had responded to a 'hospital case' call at approximately 2:30 p.m. and transported him to Einstein Medical Center.
