In the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood of Philadelphia, a 42-year-old Black woman named Kathryn Berry was the victim of a fatal shooting on the evening of September 27, 2014. Known affectionately as 'Kat' to her friends and family, she was a devoted mother of four and a loving grandmother. Berry was walking her dog near Fairmount Park at approximately 8:30 p.m. when the tragic incident occurred on the 3200 block of Morse Street.
