In the summer of 2020, the life of 62-year-old Brenda Lee Jordan of Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. On a June evening, Jordan was a passenger in a vehicle traveling in the East Lake area of the city, specifically in the 6800 block of 1st Avenue North. Suddenly, the quiet of the evening was shattered by the sound of gunfire as another car pulled alongside and an unknown assailant or assailants opened fire.
