In a tragic act of domestic violence, 37-year-old April Marie Britton, a Black female, was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama, on October 23, 2023. The incident unfolded around noon in the backyard of a residence on Huffman Road. Britton was a loving mother to three children, aged 20, 17, and 13, and was known for homeschooling her two younger children. Her life was cut short in the very place she dedicated to her family.
