An unfortunate incident on Saturday, June 12, 2021, resulted in the death of 20-year-old Claude Alamin Jones in Birmingham, Alabama. The young man sustained life-threatening injuries during a shooting that occurred in the 1700 block of 25th Street North. Officers from the North Precinct responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area at approximately 10:45 p.m. and discovered Jones unresponsive in a nearby alley.
