On a Tuesday afternoon in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 26-year-old Bryce Landrus Berry was tragically cut short. On August 24, 2021, Berry was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 100 block of Oporto-Madrid Boulevard. Officers from the East Precinct responded to the scene, where they discovered Berry, a Black male, unresponsive. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced him dead shortly after their arrival.
