In the midst of a tragically violent weekend in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 17-year-old David Jerome Desmond III was cut short. The Black male teenager was found fatally shot on the night of Sunday, December 5, 2021. His unresponsive body was discovered lying in the roadway in the 400 block of Fulton Avenue Southwest. Emergency responders pronounced him deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound.
