In the heart of Birmingham, Alabama, on Christmas Eve of 2021, a discovery was made that would mark the city's 114th homicide investigation of the year. Jesse James Valone, a 29-year-old Caucasian male, was found deceased inside a silver Dodge pickup truck on 30th Street Southwest. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Valone was found unresponsive with what was later determined to be a fatal gunshot wound.
