In the late afternoon of October 6, 2022, the life of 23-year-old Calvin Maurice Chambers, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. Responding to reports of a shooting at the Charter East Apartments in Center Point, Alabama, at approximately 4:38 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrived to a grim scene.
