In the winter of 2022, the life of 24-year-old Leeco Whittington was abruptly ended in a burst of gunfire on a Tuesday evening in Birmingham, Alabama. The young father was with another man outside the South Park Convenience store, located off South Park Road, when they were both struck by multiple bullets. First responders rushed both victims to a nearby hospital, but Whittington succumbed to his injuries. The other man's condition was not publicly detailed.
