In the early morning hours of June 7, 2022, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of an Ensley neighborhood in Birmingham, Alabama, claiming the life of 25-year-old Domonique Deandre' Williams. An African American male, Williams was seated in a vehicle on the 1700 block of Avenue J at approximately 6:10 a.m. when the car was riddled with more than two dozen bullets. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Williams succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
