In the late evening of April 27, 2024, in Center Point, Alabama, a call reporting a person down brought Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies to the 1500 block of Charter East Circle. There, they found 54-year-old Gemar Demetriece Hubbard, a male resident of the community, unconscious. Emergency medical services were already on the scene, rendering aid to Hubbard before he was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what were described as serious injuries.
