In the summer of 2024, a life was tragically cut short in Bessemer, Alabama. Demetrius La Keen Fletcher, a 43-year-old male, was killed on the night of July 18th. The incident that led to his death unfolded in the 1900 block of 10th Avenue North, where an argument escalated to fatal violence just before midnight. Fletcher sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
