In the early afternoon of June 15, 2024, a sense of unease settled over a residence on Oneonta Cut-off Road in Albertville, Alabama. Inside the home, where two women and children were also present, a violent encounter left 34-year-old Daniel Long, a white male, with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
