In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of 37-year-old Katorri Martin, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On May 5, 2024, in the 700 block of Woodrow Street, near Rosa Parks Avenue, the sound of gunfire pierced the night. First responders arrived at the scene shortly before 11 p.m. to find Martin with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
