In the early morning hours of September 3, 2023, tragedy struck in Montgomery, Alabama, when Stoney Lewis, a 60-year-old African American male, was found with a fatal gunshot wound. The incident occurred at approximately 5:55 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Holt Street. Montgomery police and fire medics responded to a call and, upon their arrival, pronounced Lewis dead at the scene. He was a resident of Montgomery.
