In the summer of 2023, the life of Darcy Jamere Joseph, a 33-year-old Black male from Hueytown, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Monday, August 7, 2023, in Birmingham, a hail of bullets shattered the relative quiet of an alleyway in the 5000 block of 41st Way North.
