In the early morning hours of March 19, 2023, the life of 19-year-old Gerald Jermaine Johnson Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short in his native city of Selma, Alabama. Johnson, who was residing in Tuscaloosa, was in the 1800 block of Alabama Highway 14 East when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m.
